“You blew another suspect!?!”
Nolan was going to lose his mind.
“Shhhhhhhhh!” I scolded, casting a glance around the dining hall to make sure nobody had heard him.
I couldn’t have the whole campus knowing I was a whore.
“Maybe,” I replied, noncommittal.
He shook his head in disbelief. “When I suggested you check every taint on campus, I was kidding.”
“I know, but we got the confirmation we needed. He’s a Bone!”
“Wait,” Nolan said, taking a bite from his apple. “I thought he didn’t have a tattoo.”
“He didn’t, no—but maybe that’s not the defining trait that we thought.”
Nolan looked at me like I was a lunatic. “Explain.”
“When Peyton ran after Colin, I stayed behind and went through his assignment notebook. And every Monday at 9 pm, he has the same appointment marked, over and over again. TB.”
“TB?” he repeated.
“Yes!”
“So every Monday he has a…touch base?”
