Max Granger is a unicorn, a golden boy and a misfit at the same time.

A third-generation legacy at Hanover, he’s the very man for whom doors just seem to open. And open. And open.

But while he’s privileged, he’s not content to simply rest on his laurels. For one, he’s one of the few out gay kids at school. And for another, he’s out to dismantle the very patriarchy that put his family in power, his role as junior editor at the Chronicle, Hanover’s newspaper, a launching pad to the big leagues.

So when the opportunity presents itself to investigate the Bones, the school’s shadowy secret society, he’s all in.

His prime suspect is Trevor Shults—football captain, future titan of industry, and all-around douchebag. He’s the right fit—privileged, powerful, ambitious—so much of what Max despises, if only he weren’t so fucking hot.

Max and Trevor have been circling each other, sizing each other up, until this Friday when their worlds finally collide.
